FAQ

Common Questions

Will I be buying articles, advertising, or space?

No. We can secure news media placement of stories about your company. Unlike advertising, companies don't pay for the placement of news stories. One of the key advantages of public relations over other marketing channels is that news media helps establish credibility for a company and its products or services. Although PR is not instant or overnight, it's a powerful way to build your company's brand and reputation.

Why should I use PR instead of advertising?

We all rely on the news to inform us, educate us, and entertain us. Do you regularly turn to any website, TV show, newspaper, or magazine for the advertisements? Studies show people are far more likely to believe a news story than an advertisement. The ROI on public relations leaves advertising's ROI in the dust. For less cost than advertising, PR creates a more credible message.

Why should I outsource my content?

Outsourcing content creation is more effective if you plan on publishing more than 50 blog posts every month. One of the main reasons for outsourcing content creation is simply because you don’t have time to do it yourself. The research, writing, and publishing of regular blog posts can be a full-time job on its own. That’s not even counting social media promotion and search engine optimization, two important components of content marketing. At K2 communications, our fixed content calendar ensures consistency in your marketing efforts.

Why do I need PR?

During the good times (new products, promotions, etc.) or during times of crisis (negative reviews, lawsuits, etc.), most marketers in the B2C industry focus on PR. However, this only accounts for a portion of the total PR needs. In PR, there is a lot of work behind the scenes before you see a win. The saying is true - "PR is a marathon, not a sprint."Imagine you have to make a significant announcement to trade media, but you have not done any PR groundwork beforehand. When the time comes, who will write the press release? Who will you send it to? Will it be published? K2 Communications' public relations team handles the groundwork for you - writing daily press releases and sending them to our database of nearly 275 media contacts, ensuring it is seen, follow up with the media to ensure our clients get their "win" results

Why do I need a PR firm if I can contact a publication directly?

You may be excited to announce the news to the public, but it will not automatically get good media coverage. To ensure that your announcement receives the attention it deserves, you must prepare and distribute it using a format that journalists can easily understand. You also need to ensure that your release reaches editors at the right time and with appropriate follow-ups

Public relations is all about telling stories, and we, at K2 Communications are responsible for telling them.

Should I hire a PR firm or do it myself?

Is public relations more than just press releases?
